Hyde Park, NY – Half Moon Theatre, the Hudson Valley’s regional professional theatre company, continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary season in 2017. On
Saturday, March 4 the hottest NYC musicians will accompany Drama Desk Award
winner and Broadway performer, Denise Summerford in a
show-stopping evening of live music and delicious food at The Culinary
Institute of America’s Marriott Pavilion.
Broadway actress and “cover” to the stars Denise Summerford will
perform popular songs that have been
creatively reworked into a variety of musical genres such as swing,
jazz, dixie, folk, blues, and classic rock. Summerford’s unique and
exciting performance will feature songs such as Bill Withers “Ain’t No
Sunshine,” Peggy Lee's “Fever,” Justin Bieber’s
“Love Yourself,” and Meghan Trainor’s “All About that
Bass.” The show is musically directed by Vito Petroccitto.
Denise Summerford has appeared on
Broadway in such shows as the musical Taboo,
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Saturday Night Fever, and Grease. She received a Drama Desk Award
for her work in the a cappella musical In
Transit and was in the original cast of the off-Broadway musical Shout! Summerford is also the co-director of the Half Moon Theatre School of the Arts.
A Cabaret at the CIA would not be complete without a
