The Culinary Institute of America Wins Top Award from the Web Marketing Association
Hyde Park, NY – The Culinary Institute of America has the best website of any college in America, according to an organization
that knows. The Web Marketing Association has presented the CIA with the award
for Best University Website in its 2017 WebAwards for Outstanding Achievement in Web
Development.
The main CIA site, ciachef.edu, received perfect scores in
four of the seven judging criteria: design, content, copywriting, and ease of
use; and outstanding scores in the other three areas: interactivity,
innovation, and technology.
“A college’s website is the window into academic and campus
life, and a compelling first impression is critical in getting prospective
students excited about choosing their college,” says CIA President Dr. Tim Ryan. “I’m
delighted that the professionals in the web development world have recognized
the accomplishments of our marketing team.”
Digital and Online Media Director Scott Lucente guided the team that built the new, more user-friendly website over the course
of a year leading to its relaunch in June 2017.
“This is an excellent site and an example of great navigation
and content. It also feels true to the brand,” wrote one judge. “Here you have
the essence of the brand and a great new website.”
The award from the Web Marketing Association follows a
recent nomination for a CSS Design Award. The internationally
recognized CSS Design Awards showcase websites with outstanding creativity,
functionality, and usability.
