The newest season of Top Chef debuts October 15 on the Bravo network, and five of the “chef-testants” are CIA alumni.
On the twelfth season of the program, 16 chefs cook their way through Boston, competing for the title of Top Chef and a grand prize of $125,000. According to the Top Chef website, “The chefs will go knife-to-knife at iconic Boston locales including Fenway Park, Plimoth Plantation, and Cheers!” One of the many interesting challenges this season will be to prepare a meal using only ingredients that would have been available at the first Thanksgiving.

In addition to the alumni competitors, one of the judges is Richard Blais ’98 (@RichardBlais), the first Top Chef winner to return to the show to serve as a judge. Boston-based guest judges include alumni Ken Oringer ’89 (@kenoringer), Jasper White ’76 (@SummerShack), and Todd English ’82 (@ChefToddEnglish).
