The Culinary Institute of America is the most recognized culinary school in the U.S. and Dr. Tim Ryan is the man who has helped turn it into a Harvard for cooks. President of the CIA since 2001, Dr. Ryan has helped shape the careers of graduates. At the 2014 James Beard awards, 25 CIA alumni were nominated as finalists, including best chef in every regional category, best new restaurant, outstanding service, wine program, and the MFK Fisher distinguished writing award.
