Allyson Bayless, a member of the CIA’s tennis team, was named to both the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference (HVMAC) 2013 Winter/Spring All-Academic and All-Conference Teams. The Steels tennis team is co-ed, although it competes in the men’s conference. Bayless is one of four women on the nine-member team.
This year marks the second time the junior from Prospect, OH made the conference All-Academic Team. To make the team, student-athletes must have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5.
Only nine student-athletes from the conference’s nine colleges competing in basketball, tennis, and volleyball earned both All-Academic and All-Conference honors for the winter/spring season.
Sophomore Matt Jensen of Bay City, MI joined Bayless on the All-Conference Team.
The HVMAC and Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conferences merged in July and will now be known as the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
