Chef Joselyn Loera graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio in 2018 with an associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. She then completed an associate degree in Culinary Arts in 2019. During her time at CIA, she won first place in baking and pastry at SkillsUSA and was recognized as a strong student and leader by being awarded the Frances Roth Leadership Award. Chef Loera honed her management skills by participating in a Manager-in-Training program at CIA and then was hired by the college as a kitchen coordinator. Due to her high level of attention to detail, Chef Loera was promoted to assistant restaurant manager for Savor, the restaurant at the San Antonio, TX campus.

Since graduating, Chef Loera has continued to demonstrate excellence both in and out of the kitchen. She’s committed to lifelong learning and passionate about mentoring and inspiring future culinary professionals. Chef Loera strives to make a lasting impact in the food industry by empowering others to pursue their culinary dreams and develop their skills to the fullest.
