How did you become interested in food?
When I was young, I spent a lot of time with my mother in the kitchen. From that time, I fell in love with cooking and it was something I always wanted to pursue. To this day, I still look for ways to become a better a cook.

Who most influenced you?
My biggest influence was the chef I met when I was working at my part-time job.

Did you have to overcome any obstacles or challenges to come to the CIA?
My family did not support my decision to pursue this career path. It was very difficult for them. Leaving my family, my home, and my job was also very difficult and a big adjustment for me. Everyone at the CIA is so nice and friendly so it made the transition much easier.

Do you already have a degree from another college or did you previously have a different career?
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Economics in my home country and worked at a bank for about two years.

Why did you choose the CIA?
I first heard about the CIA when I was in high school. It left me with a lasting impression. This is the best culinary school in the world and coming to the CIA to train to be a chef has always been my dream.

What do you like best about CIA?
Everyone is very professional, the faculty is very nice and helpful, and the campus is beautiful. You can learn to study not only Western food but food from all over the world. The most important thing is that I can learn what I want to learn.

What are your career goals/plans?
I don’t have any career goals yet, but I know that after I finish my education here, I will find my way. The CIA will provide me with the best education and the best opportunities after I graduate.

Any advice for prospective students?
Don’t worry about anything. If cooking is your passion, then the CIA is the best choice. This is the best culinary school in the world. Just come here.
