  • Commencement at the CIA

    Hyde Park, NY Campus

Commencement is an exciting time for graduating students and their families to celebrate students’ academic achievements at the CIA. Do you have a student graduating soon? Here’s some important information you’ll want to know about the big day.

All New York campus commencement ceremonies are held in the Marriott Pavilion.

    • Associate degree commencement ceremonies begin promptly at 10 a.m. Doors open at 9 a.m. for seating guests with a ticket.
    • Bachelor’s degree commencement ceremonies begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. for seating guests with a ticket.

Each graduate is given four commencement tickets for their guests. (Graduates themselves do not need a ticket.) The ceremony is livestreamed for the enjoyment of guests without tickets, and can be viewed in The Egg at the Student Commons as well as online.

Each student is given one parking pass for on-campus guest parking near the Marriott Pavilion. The parking pass must be presented to Campus Safety personnel upon arrival on campus, who will direct guests to assigned parking. Vehicles without a parking pass will be directed to the residential student parking area.

A reception for the graduates and their four guests immediately follows the ceremony.
