CIA California Campus Library Learning Commons
Located in the Margie Schubert Library on the top floor of the Greystone main building, the Library Learning Commons offers tutoring and academic mentoring services for free. We’re here to help you succeed in CIA’s fast-paced, hands-on learning environment.
Our peer tutors and academic mentors are students who have successfully completed CIA coursework and demonstrated proficiency in that class. We can help with time management, study techniques, note taking, test-taking strategies, and organizational skills.
Comprehensive Accessibility Services
We work with eligible students to provide reasonable accommodation tailored to their individual needs. These accommodations are based on professional documentation from a treating provider and the specific ways a disability may impact learning or daily life on campus.
Accommodations may include:
- Extended time on tests
- Note taking assisted technology
- Housing accommodations
- Allergen accommodations
- Lifting restrictions
- Separate location/distraction-reduced environment

The Counseling and Psychological Support (CAPS) office provides confidential personal counseling to CIA students, free of charge.
Student Health Services
Every student is required to submit a complete physical examination on the mandatory CIA Physical Examination Form, with required immunizations, a copy of your health insurance card, and all required papers 30 days prior to Arrival Day at CIA.
On-Campus Student Work Programs
Looking to gain work experience while reducing your educational expenses? The CIA offers two student work programs, Earn & Learn Tuition Offset Scholarship and Federal Work Study.
