Inder Singh is the associate vice president of information technology
(IT) at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA). In this role, Mr.
Singh is responsible for oversight of all IT strategies and needs for
the college's four campuses, including academic and administrative
support services, telecommunication, and audio-visual and media
services. He has held his current title since 2000.
Before joining the CIA in 1986 as manager and director of management
information systems, Mr. Singh was a business application consultant
with Alpha Micro Systems in Ronkonkoma, NY.
Mr. Singh earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree
in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY.
He also holds various technical certificates from RPI, Microsoft,
Oracle, and Novell. The native of Delhi, India earned his bachelor's
degree in commerce from Delhi University. Before immigrating to the
United States, he earned a post-graduate diploma in computers and a
certificate in computer programming in India.
Inder Singh is a member of EDUCAUSE, the leading higher education
technology association, and NYSCIO, an organization for higher education
chief information officers in New York State.
