Terms of Service: Student Text Messaging
By providing your phone number and opting-in, you consent to receive text messages from the Culinary Institute of America regarding admissions and your application, academic reminders, student services information, academic deadlines, advising notifications, financial aid notifications, career center announcements, student life activities, and general university announcements.
CIA’s Admissions Office sends text messages to communicate with individuals interested in enrolling in one of the Culinary Institute of America’s certificate, undergraduate, or graduate degree programs. These text messages will be used to provide information on upcoming events and announcements, as well as important admissions and financial aid reminders.
Mobile opt-in consent and phone numbers are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes. Generally, subscribers will receive no more than eight messages a month. However, text messages may be sent more often during key admissions times of the year.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to no longer receive text messages. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or you can get help directly at [email protected]. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy.
