The Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) safeguards the privacy of student education records. That means the CIA cannot release information about your child to you unless he or she specifically authorizes us to do so, in writing (or unless such disclosure is permitted under FERPA). This applies to information about financial aid, course registration, residence life, career services, campus safety, and more.
