A Small Taste of Your BIG Future in Food

So you’re thinking about a career in food. And you’re interested in the CIA. Join the club! The food world is filled with more opportunities and career paths than ever before.

Here’s your chance to get a sneak peek. At Journey for Juniors, you’ll spend an action-packed Friday and Saturday on our Hyde Park, NY campus this summer getting to know all about the CIA, the food industry—and yourself.

    What to Expect

At Journey for Juniors, you will:

    • Take part in an interactive cooking demonstration and tasting. (Yes, you’re really here, learning from a CIA chef!)
    • Meet other high school juniors (maybe even your future classmates!) from all over the country.
    • Learn all about the hot career paths and cool CIA majors you can choose from.
    • Practice your “Yes, Chef!” as you cook and bake for the very first time with CIA chef-instructors in our professional kitchens and bakeshops.
    • Get the lowdown on what it’s like to be a CIA student from the source—our current students.
    • Enjoy amazing CIA food and hospitality, including dinner prepared and served by CIA students in one of our award-winning restaurants.
    • Walk around campus and imagine yourself here, for real, in a year or less!
