Hyde Park, NY – The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, NY
has launched a new series of short video profiles in select U.S. markets. The videos
showcase successful alumni and highlight the breadth of career tracks within
the food world in which CIA alumni have become leaders.
In Washington, DC, the featured alumni are Carolina Gomez
and Jason Story, the husband-and-wife owners of Three Little Pigs Charcuterie
& Salumi. A perfect pairing, they met as students
in Wine Studies class at the CIA and would become partners in both business and
life. Carolina earned her bachelor's degree in culinary arts management in
2011. Jason earned his associate degree in culinary arts in 2010. Three Little
Pigs specializes in hand-crafted meats from locally sourced animals. Even the
pickles and condiments are made in the store.

This first group of video shorts also features Gretchen
Thomas, wine and spirits director for Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant group
in Connecticut; Greg Vernick, owner and chef at Vernick Food & Drink in Philadelphia; and Michael
Ferraro, executive chef and partner at Delicatessen and Macbar in New York City.
