Reduced Hours and Activities During Late July/August

We love to welcome campus visitors, but before you make your plans, please note that amazing changes are underway at the CIA campuses during the summer and our visiting hours and restaurant hours may be affected.

Please note that classes for degree and certificate program students at all of our U.S. campuses will not be in session from July 28–August 21, 2017. Classes will resume on August 22.

Admissions

  • The Admissions Office at all three campuses will be open to welcome prospective students and their families.

Restaurants

  • Since many of our restaurants rely on our students for the full CIA dining experience, please refer to www.ciarestaurantgroup.com for the most up-to-the-minute information.
  • At the New York campus, all restaurants will be closed during this period.
  • At our California campus locations (Copia and Greystone), The Restaurant at CIA Copia and The Bakery Café by illy will be open.
  • At the Texas campus, Nao will be open for lunch and the outdoor taco stand will also be open.

    Putting your education to work!

    Our Career Services Office will help you turn your CIA degree into a career. As a CIA student you will:

    • Have an assigned Career Services Advisor to assist with creating your career management plan.
    • Sharpen your skills and make industry connections on a 15-week externship at one of more than 1,200 CIA-approved establishments.
    • Attend Career Networking Days on the California campus or virtually connect with recruiters at the four Career Fairs held on the New York campus.
    • Use Culinary Connect to help you track down your next career move. Both students and graduates can use this online tool to:
      • Search jobs posted by employers looking specifically for CIA grads.
      • Search by field, city, state, country, cuisine, and restaurant quality designation.
      • Get personal contact info to use when applying or making inquiries to a company.
    • Learn practical career skills.
      • Associate degree students will write resumes and cover letters, as well as learn valuable interviewing skills, as part of their Externship Prep Seminars.
      • Bachelor's degree students pursuing a Management degree will go a step further as they learn about recruiting, selecting, hiring, and training employees.
