CIA Seasonal Pop-Up Market

Another Fun Option for Getting Food at CIA

Author Tina M. Cortez ’26 is a Food Business Management major.

At the Culinary Institute of America, food is what we do. And we do it best! CIA’s Pop-Up Market gives the CIA community an opportunity to shop for seasonal, local food and goods! Every Thursday, right outside the Student Commons, students can use green or gold points to buy a variety of fresh and colorful foods from local farms.

The main goal of the Pop-Up Market is to provide CIA students with a variety of different foods and products to potentially use their meal points on. This means students could get groceries and save them to enjoy over the weekend with friends!

CIA sources products available at the Pop-Up Market through a program called Farm2Tables. It’s a website that connects local farms and vendors to markets, you can order all types of products from approved vendors. Some of the most popular vendors include Yellow Bell Farm, Migliorelli, Ray Tousy Honey, Bulich Mushroom Farms, Soukup Farm Jacuterie, and Poor Devile Pepper. These vendors provide CIA students with some of the best produce, cider, honey, mushrooms, maple syrup, cured meats, hot sauce, cheese, and so much more.

On top of having another option for enjoying food, students can work at this market via the Earn & Learn Tuition Offset Scholarship! Students who decide to work here get the opportunity to work alongside Restaurant Associates and The Egg management team.

If you ever feel like you need to go to the grocery store, now CIA has made it possible to stay on campus and get all your grocery necessities!
