Texas Campus Visitor Information

Located in the historic Pearl Brewery complex just two miles north of downtown, the CIA, San Antonio provides modern classrooms and teaching kitchens in a historic setting. What you see today is just the start of the CIA, San Antonio's goal of bringing the cuisines of Latin America to their rightful place on the world stage.

Tour the Campus!

Take a TOUR of The Culinary Institute of America, San Antonio! Tours of the newly expanded campus are available Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. Observe chef-in-training-students cooking in the Skills Kitchens or catch a glimpse of a food enthusiast Boot Camp in action (subject to academic calendar). Sign up today by contacting Shannon Gerome at 210-554-6400 or e-mail s_gerome@culinary.edu. Tours last about 20–30 minutes and are complimentary. Donations are welcome and your contributions help fund our El Sueño scholarship for San Antonio students.

Directions to the campus are simple from almost anywhere. After you visit the campus, we hope you'll take advantage of everything San Antonio offers.

San Antonio weather is comfortable year-round. And because the city is the top tourist destination in Texas, there are plenty of accommodations at reasonable prices, too.

Of course, we have a number of restaurants to recommend in and around San Antonio, where you can find CIA professionals at work. Discover the culinary excellence of:

  • Biga on the Banks
  • Citrus, Hotel Valencia
  • il Sogno Osteria
  • La Gloria – Street Foods of Mexico
  • Las Ramblas, Hotel Contessa
  • Ostra at Mokara Hotel & Spa
