    Whatever your fitness level, we've got a program that is right for you. The following list is just a sample of the classes and instruction we may offer at the Student Commons:

    • HIIT & LIIT (High Intensity Interval Training & Low Intensity Interval Training)
    • Spinning
    • Yoga
    • Zumba

    Intramural Sports

    Intramural competition at The Culinary Institute of America is designed to meet the recreational needs of every student. Sportsmanship and fair play are expected from all participants so everyone can enjoy the challenge and fitness benefits of athletic competition.

    All enrolled students as well as faculty and staff are eligible to participate. Registration for intramural events is announced throughout the year via our department e-newsletter, brochures, and signage within the Student Commons.

    Intramural Sports Schedule

    • Basketball: October–December
    • Floor Hockey: January–February
    • Soccer: August–October
    • Softball: April–June
    • Volleyball: February–March

    Tournaments

    The CIA also sponsors many tournaments and contests throughout the year such as:

    • 5K Fun Run/Walk
    • Dodgeball
    • Eight-Ball Billiards
    • Racquetball
    • Table Tennis
    • Weightlifting Contest
