Manager, Engineering Operations
The Culinary Institute of America is the world's premier culinary college, located on a 170-acre campus, with facilities including: five public restaurants; over 41 kitchens; bakeshops; computer labs; a library which houses both television and photography studios and a 150-seat theatre; a 25,000-square-foot building housing our Admissions, Financial Aid, and Bursar's offices and includes a 99-seat demonstration theatre with 65-inch plasma viewing screens and state-of-the art kitchen equipment; and a 52,000-square-foot Student Recreation Center which includes a gymnasium, two basketball courts, six-lane indoor pool, indoor track, two racquetball courts, locker rooms with sauna, fitness center, aerobics room, game room, multi-purpose room, lounge and banquet kitchen.
The CIA is seeking a Manager, Engineering Operations to oversee The Institute's engineering operations, ensuring efficient and safe operation of The Institute's buildings. This includes preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance and projects across the following systems: structural, building envelope, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and vertical transportation.
The successful candidate will be effective with the management of personnel in order to achieve the highest levels of service to Institute facilities and staff, will prepare annual facility/engineering operations tactical plan including quarterly goals and objectives, and will have a comprehensive technical knowledge of college campus/hospitality building and infrastructure systems. A bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity necessary.
