Biography:
Cat Cora is known around the world as the only female Iron Chef on Food Network's Iron Chef America. It was her culinary expertise and flair that enabled her to join the ranks of such Iron Chef luminaries as Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, and Masaharu Morimoto. As executive chef for Bon Appétit magazine, Cat brings that talent to bear every day. And these days she's also become known for her humanitarian projects. In 2005, she co-founded Chefs for Humanity, a coalition of chefs and culinary professionals who raise funds and provide resources for humanitarian aid, nutritional education, and hunger-related initiatives.

After graduating with honors from the CIA, Cat continued her education first in Europe, apprenticing with two of France's three-star Michelin chefs: Georges Blanc and Roger Vergé. Back in the United States she was chef de cuisine at Napa Valley's Bistro Don Giovanni and went on to become executive chef and partner of Postino in Lafayette, CA. She is the author of two cookbooks, Cat Cora's Kitchen and Cooking from the Hip.
