Biography:
Susan Feniger is one of America's most recognizable and beloved chefs who, along with her business partner Mary Sue Milliken, has become one of the country's foremost authorities in the Latin kitchen. After graduating from the CIA, Susan met Mary Sue at Le Perroquet, one of Chicago's best French restaurants, where together they became the first females in the kitchen. In 1981, they opened the critically acclaimed City Café in Los Angeles, CA. Four years later they turned it into the Border Grill, and have since added another location at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. In 1998 they opened Ciudad in downtown Los Angeles.

A veteran of 396 episodes of the popular Too Hot Tamales and Tamales World Tour on the Food Network, Susan has co-authored five cookbooks—City Cuisine, Mesa Mexicana, Cantina, Cooking with Too Hot Tamales and Mexican Cooking for Dummies. Always willing to push the "borders," she and Mary Sue have a line of prepared foods under the "Border Girls" brand at Whole Foods Market. She is an active member of Share Our Strength, The Scleroderma Research Foundation, The Chefs Collaborative, and Women Chefs and Restauranteurs.
