George Hirsch '80 is the host of many public television programs including his newest series, George Hirsch Living it Up! As a guest on radio, local television and high profile national shows such as The Today Show, Good Morning America, and Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, George has shared his cooking and lifestyle secrets with millions of viewers.
With five best-selling books, George keeps his audience reading and cooking. His newest best-selling cookbook,GEORGE HIRSCH LIVING IT UP! Recipes for a Healthy, Active Life is filled with practical daily menus, flavorful, healthful recipes, and nutrition, fitness, & motivational tips. He is an inductee in the Academy of Chefs, the most prestigious honor society of chefs in the United States, and as the co-founder and chairperson emeritus of the Chef and Child Foundation, George is dedicated to working to emphasize nutrition among the young.
He is a member of the IACP and NSA, and also sits on the Board of Directors of the Congressional Hunger Center. Congratulations to George for all his accomplishments; we're proud to claim him as a CIA alumnus!
