Whatever your fitness level, we’ve got a program that is right for you. The following list is just a sample of the classes and instruction we may offer at the Student Recreation Center:

Intramural Sports

Intramural competition at The Culinary Institute of America is designed to meet the recreational needs of every student. Sportsmanship and fair play are expected from all participants so everyone can enjoy the challenge and fitness benefits of athletic competition.

All enrolled students as well as faculty and staff are eligible to participate. Registration for intramural events will be announced throughout the year via emails, brochures, and signage within the SRC. 

Intramural Sports Schedule

  • Flag Football: September-November
  • Basketball League: December-February
  • Volleyball: February-March
  • Softball: April-June; July-September
  • Indoor Soccer: January-February
  • Ice Hockey: November-February
    (Mid-Hudson Civic Center)
  • Tennis: May-October

Tournaments

The CIA also sponsors many tournaments and contests throughout the year such as:
