The Culinary Institute of America

Geoffrey Sagrans (CIA '95) has created a non-profit in Florida's Palm Beach County to bring local farmers together with hotels, restaurants and country clubs. Localecopia works with farms as small as just a few acres. The organization also addresses environmental and sustainability issues in Sagrans’s community.

Sagrans, who is assistant director of materials management at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, says he would like to expand his concept to other communities as well.
