Residence Life Staff

Each residence hall has an assigned resident director (R.D.) to assist you. Directors are full-time staff members responsible for promoting positive community life in the halls. Each R.D. has a wide range of skills and responsibilities, including individual counseling, program development, staff advisement, and administrative duties. The directors' offices are located at the entrance of each hall and their office hours are posted outside the office. Residence directors work a rotating schedule, also posted at the entrance to each hall. An R.D. is on duty each evening until midnight and every weekend. You should get to know your R.D.; he or she is a valuable and willing resource if you need help.

Each residence hall floor is staffed by a resident assistant (R.A.), a full-time student who has been hired for leadership skills and willingness to help other students. Residents assistants' names and duty schedules are posted at the entrance of each residence hall. You're encouraged to consult with your R.A. about any questions, maintenance concerns, or personal problems. He or she can provide you with information and assistance with most problems that may arise in your residence hall.
