ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE

Arrival Day (move in day)

  • 1 – 5 p.m. » Move into residence hall
  • 5 – 6 p.m. » Tour with student tour guides – leaving from Residence Hall Lounge
  • 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. » Individual Redidence Hall Meetings – Hudson, Angell, Pick-Herndon, Rosenthal
  • 7:30 p.m. » New Student Social – Multi-purpose Room, Student Rec Center

Day 1

  • 6:30 – 7 a.m. » Breakfast (optional); 6:30 – 7 pickup food from K-16; 7 – 7:30 pick food from K-15) – Farquharson Hall
  • 7:45 a.m. » Registration – Lobby of Admissions building
  • 8:10 a.m. » Meeting for commuter students – Groups with form at the demonstration theatre located in the Admissions building
  • 10:30 a.m. – Noon » Placement Test (please bring calculator) – Danny Kaye Theatre. Please contact Angelika Budnick in Admissions for scheduling of exam.
  • Noon (Promptly) » Lunch (Served by the Banquet & Catering Class) – East Wing Dining Room, CE Building
  • 1 – 1:30 p.m. » If any part of registration was not completed, please do so now
  • 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. » Welcome Address by Dr. Kathy Merget – Danny Kaye Theatre
  • 2:30 – 2:45 p.m. » Return to residence halls to change into casual clothes Commuters change in the Recreation Center locker room. Wear orientation T-shirt, sneakers and casual pants/jeans/shorts
  • 2:45 – 4:15 p.m. » Team Building – Student Rec Center (Gym)
  • 4:30 – 5:30 p.m » Discussion of www.alcoholedu.com – Computer Lab/Residence Hall Room
  • 5:30 p.m. » Dinner – East Wind Dining Room, CE Building

Day 2

  • 6:30 – 7 a.m. » Breakfast (optional), 6:30 – 7 pickup food from K-16; 7 – 7:30 pick food from K-15 – Farquharson Hall
  • 8:20 – 9 a.m. » Computer Survival –Renaissance Lounge, Hudson Hall
  • 9 – 9:45 a.m. » Safety Survival – Renaissance Lounge, Hudson Hall
  • 9:45 – 10:25 a.m. » Inside Tour of Roth Hall – Begins at Danny Kaye Theatre
  • 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. » Educational Survival Skills – Renaissance Lounge, Hudson Hall
  • 11:30 a.m. (Promptly) » Lunch – East Wing Dining Room, CE Building
  • 1:05 – 1:30 p.m. » Through a Chef's Eyes: Life at the CIA – Student Rec Center, Multi-Purpose Room
