As a culinary arts student at The Culinary Institute of America, you'll receive an amazingly well-rounded education that will prepare you to meet the challenges of a demanding industry. Choose from two culinary arts degree programs:
Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) in Culinary Arts—21 monthsIf you already have a bachelor's degree or you're changing careers, the college's proven culinary arts associate degree program may be the best complement to your current skills.
The Associate Degree Program for Advanced Career Experience (ACE) Students is especially designed for experienced professionals who already have valuable work and life experience and are looking to advance their culinary careers. The ACE program gives you the opportunity to get an outstanding CIA education—and degree—in just 15 months. Find out more about the ACE advantage at The Culinary Institute of America.
If you're coming directly out of high school or have had some experience working in the culinary field before college, going for the power of the bachelor's degree in culinary arts makes a lot of sense for you.
Enjoy starting salaries about 10% higher than AOS students on average, and prepare yourself for management positions (CIA Career Services Survey, 12/2009).
