ASK A STUDENT

Hi, my name is Allegra and I'm 22 years old from Seattle, WA. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts Management, having completed my associate degree in September 2006. My ultimate goal is to become a private chef.

I have always had a passion for food. When I graduated from high school, I went on to community college to pursue a degree in business management. While I was in community college I was working at a restaurant. I love going to work every day because I got to make food that was pleasing to people's bodies as well as their minds. Since I had such a passion for food, I decided to pursue my passion. I searched culinary schools and found the CIA. I read about the school and that's when I knew that it was where I wanted to be.

I was so excited to start school. I was a little scared to move all the way across the country away from my family and friends, but once I got on campus and moved into my dorm, I felt like I was in the right place. The opportunities this school has to offer students are infinite and the skills we learn are preparing us for the future.
